Weekend Recap

We started off Friday night with dinner with our friend Weaver.  We can never decide where to go for our weekly Friday night dinner dates so we put the names of all the restaurants in town in a mason jar & drew one of the papers out to choose where we could go.  Our pick was Athenians.  The guys thought I rigged the drawing because it is one of my favorites but I didn't.  I was happy to have their delicious steak and cheese though.   After dinner we went downtown  to our little local bar - The Copper Fish and met up with some friends. It closes at 10:00 so then we headed down the street to the Pier for a bit.

Saturday we went to a birthday party for Hadley Grace who turned 3 last week.  She was our flower girl in our wedding. 

After the party we met some friends for dinner at Thai Culpeper and then went to see American Sniper.  Great movie!!  Seriously when the movie ended, everyone just got up and filed out of the theatre in silence.  After that we once again headed to the Copper Fish and met up with some friends and then back to a friend's house for a bit.

Sunday we had brunch at The Restaurant (best in town if you're local) with friends then headed home.  We worked on picking some paint colors for our kitchen, living room and downstairs bathroom. With our drywall repairs complete from our one year walk through we are ready to start painting this house something other than contractor grade flat paint.

Later Sunday Eric went to play poker with the guys and I headed over to my friend Terra's to hang out and play with Hadley and Harper for a bit.  When they went down for bed we tried to watch Gone Girl but the guys finished poker before we were done and came home wanting to watch football.  After the football game was over we headed home and called it a night.  

It was a nice weekend and fortunately for me I have today and tomorrow off too so I have been cleaning, doing laundry, meal planning and running errands.
