I've been making oreo pie for several years now. I don't even remember where the recipe originally came from but it is really good. Also one recipe makes 3 pies so there is always extra to give away which will make you pretty popular with your friends and family. We were at the lake for Memorial Day Weekend and we typically celebrate my brother's birthday this weekend. He loves this pie so I thought it would be a perfect thing to make.
Ingredients:
Yields 3 pies
1 pkg Oreos (I use Double Stuff)
1 container Cool Whip - the big one
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
3 prepared graham cracker or Oreo pie crusts
Let Cool Whip and ice cream set out for a while to soften.
Mix cool whip and ice cream together in a large bowl.
Mix cool whip and ice cream together in a large bowl.
Crush entire package of oreos and then mix in to ice cream/Cool Whip mixture.
When well mixed, portion mixture out into 3 pie crusts.
Store in freezer until serving.
