4th of July Weekend Recap

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend.  We started it by meeting our friends for dinner & drinks at the Pier Thursday night.  They had the weirdest group of karaoke people in there but it was still highly entertaining.

On the actual 4th we laid low for most of the day.  We went downtown for the Annual 4th of July Car & Bike Show and to hit up my friend Kristie's little girls lemonade stand.  Then we grabbed a quick lunch at Pete's Pizza and took LJ to play with her boyfriend Dex for a bit.  We finished off the night with a cookout at our friends Andrew & Christina's house where we could see the downtown fireworks. 

Saturday we got up early and headed down to the lake with some friends.  We went out on the boat, swam, fished and grilled out all day.  My brother and his girlfriend also came down to join us.

Fireworks on the water is one of my favorite things about 4th of July.

We spent the night at the lake and headed home this afternoon so Eric could get in a round of golf this afternoon.  And we plan to finish the night with a Big Brother viewing party tonight.
