Eat Local Wednesday 8.28 (on Thursday)

Yesterday was CSA pickup day!  Here's what we got this week...  

Leeks, potatoes, onions, blackberry jelly, green tomatoes & watermelon (not pictured).   I'm not sure what we will do with these things yet.  Our CSA gave us a recipe for Potato Leek Soup that I may try.  Eric is having his wisdom teeth out tomorrow so he has requested mashed potatoes.  I think we will probably have soft food for a few days and potato leek soup may just fit the bill.  And maybe we'll try our hand at fried green tomatoes.  I'll keep you posted!
