Weekend Recap!

This was the first weekend in a long time that we have had free.  Between working, our wedding, other people's weddings, our honeymoon, showers, etc.  we have been busy busy busy.  This weekend was jam packed with fun but none of it was mandatory and no one had to work!

Friday I did have to work so I got off arond 7:30, we grabbed a quick dinner at Glory Days and were home in bed early.

Saturday morning Eric went to NoVA to golf with some friends and I went to a baby shower for my friend Tarah's sweet twins - Emersyn & Kai.  I wish I had taken pictures but I totally forgot.  It was hosted by our friend Bethany and she had everything done so nicely.  Plus it's always fun to get together with co-workers when it has nothing to do with work!

That afternoon we hung around the house and our friend Weaver came over.  We went out to dinner at The Pier.  After dinner we met up with some other friends and went to a show at the State Theatre.   It was a benefit for Young Life.  There were 2 groups there Joseph and Judah & the Lion.  We thought Joseph was really good and noticed they would be at the Southern in Charlottesville 11/5 if you are local.  The whole show was a little something different than what we would normally go to but it was fun nonetheless.

Sunday we went to brunch with our friend Weaver and it was delicious.  We went to The Restaurant on Davis Street.  We had been there before at dinner time and were not that impressed but brunch was a whole different story.  For a town that doesn't have much by way of a brunch scene, theirs was so good!  Eric had fried green tomatoes and country ham on homemade biscuits topped with sausage gravy and home fries.  I had the chicken and waffles.  We will definitely go back because everything that everyone had at the tables around us looked good too.

We headed back home and did a little afternoon project.  We received a pot rack as a wedding gift so we went ahead and installed it.  It turned out pretty well and freed up a whole lot of cabinet space in our island.  I can't reach it, Eric's mom said that means I don't have to cook.  Really it means I need a step stool because I can't reach the cabinets either.

Then we finished off the weekend with dinner at Outback with Matt & Mandi.  Matt's birthday is Tuesday so we had a little bit of an early birthday celebration for him!
